FAQs

Q: Is that lowercase “e” a—
A: No, it’s not a typo. That’s how I spell my name. Even at the beginning of a sentence. Watch. eden trips over the lazy dog. See?

Q: What kind of books do you write?
A: Mostly dark, gritty fantasy full of brutal violence, evil, and mature themes. I like to put flawed characters through the wringer to see if they’ll come out the other side better and stronger. The ones who survive usually do.

Q: You talk about God in your bio. Do you write Christian fiction?
A: No, but me and God are tight. He sent His son to die on the cross to save you and me from hell, which was pretty cool of Him. Also, without Him making me a writer, I couldn’t write all this crazy books. So I owe Him basically everything.

Q: If you had to give your series ESRB ratings, what would they be?
A: Well, in order of publication date, I’d say…

  • Jubal Van Zant: A18+ for Adult
  • Legend of the Treesinger (with James Hunter): T for Teen (language)
  • Rogue Dungeon (with James Hunter): M for Mature
  • Path of the Thunderbird: E10+ for Everyone 10+ (fantasy violence)
  • Death Cultivator: T for Teen (language)
  • Wasteland Warlords (with James Hunter): M for Mature
  • The Strong Gods: M for Mature

Q: When will the next book in [name a series] come out?
A: I’m so glad you asked! Here are some ways to make sure you don’t miss any New Releases:

Patreon: Patrons get to read the book while I’m writing it, create side characters for me to kill, and when it’s published, they get their name or code name in the Acknowledgements.

Mailing List: These peeps get an email the day the book goes live and updates on any sales or freebies I’ve got going on.

Social Media: I usually remember to post that a book is out on social media by day two or at the latest day three. Also random pics of my dogs, cats, chickens, and writerly setups when I go camping.

Discord: I 99% of the time remember to say something in the New Releases channel. But even if I don’t, someone will say something or post a meme about it somewhere in the discord.

Follows: Amazon and Bookbub both send out New Release updates the week one of my books is coming out. Follow me on either site or both to get notified.

This has to be the hardest I’ve ever tried to contact someone.😅🤣. Hello. I just finished reading book 3 of your “Path of the thunderbird” series and i am absolutely in love with the series. Do you have any plans on further books? Did you perhaps release them in the lower reaches? I need answers please😭😭😭😭. Thanks a lot.

    Eden,

It’s been a while since rogue dungeon book 6 came out. When is the audiobook coming out?

Hey Nick! Our narrator has been having some health issues, but the hope is it’ll be out later this year.

Any chance for audio version of the Redneck Apocalypse series? My first read of yours and I still love it and want to share with friends!

Wow, thanks, Stacy! I’m so glad you liked the Redneck Apocalypse! That series is so near and dear to my heart, and I know it always will be. Sorry to say, though, it’s probably not going to get an audio version. I always dream about doing it someday, but it’s never made enough sales to pay for its audio to be produced. So for now, I’ll just keep dreaming about the Whitney boys and what they would sound like.

Hi Eden, I just finished book 2 and have fallen inlove with “Path of the Thunderbird” and I am honestly shocked it is not more well known. Could I please ask if you are planning to release book 3 and 4 in audible?

Oh wow, I’m so happy you’re enjoying Path of the Thunderbird! Thanks so much for letting me know!

I’m really sorry to say, but the last two books probably won’t be made into audible releases. Audio is unfortunately expensive (even though it’s worth it for all the hard work the narrators put in!) and PoT 1&2 haven’t made enough money to produce books 3 &4.

Sorry to break your heart, but thank you so much for trying out Raijin and Koida’s story! And double thank you for asking about them!
