Author eden Hudson has been making up wild stories all her life and publishing those stories for the last 13 years of it.
She’s published over 40 sci-fi and fantasy novels, completed 7 seven series, and numerous short stories, with more coming every day.
She shows no signs of stopping, no matter how many people ask her to. She’s even writing this About section right now, in third person no less.
What a weirdy. Let’s go to some FAQs in first person.
FAQs
Q: Is that lowercase βeβ aβ
A: No, itβs not a typo. Thatβs how I spell my name. Even at the beginning of a sentence. Watch. eden trips over the lazy dog. See?
Q: What kind of books do you write?
A: Mostly dark, gritty fantasy full of brutal violence, evil, and mature themes. I like to put flawed characters through the wringer to see if they’ll come out the other side better and stronger. The ones who survive usually do.
Q: Do you use Generative AI in your writing?
A: No. I donβt have any beef with people who do, but I donβt. For me, writing the story is the fun part. Itβs my favorite thing to do. Why would I give up the best part of my job to a machine? That would be like dumping a plateful of delicious chocolate chip cookies down the garbage disposal and pouring all the milk down after them.
Sorry, robots, I know this is going to put a target on my back when you take over the world, but Iβm going to keep the milk and cookies to myself. You guys can have the canned spinach.
Wow. I did not foresee this devolving into a rant about food when I started writing it. I must be hungry.
Q: You talk about God in your bio. Do you write Christian fiction?
A: No, but me and God are tight. He sent His son to die on the cross to save you and me from hell, which was pretty cool of Him. Also, without Him making me a writer, I couldn’t write all these crazy books. I owe Him every good thing in my life and afterlife, so you can see why I love Him so much.
Q: If you had to give your series ESRB ratings, what would they be?
A: Well, in order of publication date, Iβd sayβ¦

Q: When will the next book in [name a series] come out?
A: Iβm so glad you asked! Here are some ways to make sure you donβt miss any New Releases:
Patreon: Patrons get to read the book while Iβm writing it, create side characters for me to kill, and when itβs published, they get their name or code name in the Acknowledgements.
Mailing List: These peeps get an email the day the book goes live and updates on any sales or freebies I’ve got going on.
Social Media: I usually remember to post that a book is out on social media by day two or at the latest day three. Also random pics of my dogs, cats, chickens, and writerly setups when I go camping.
Discord: I 99% of the time remember to say something in the New Releases channel. But even if I don’t, someone will say something or post a meme about it somewhere in the discord.
Follows: Amazon and Bookbub both send out New Release updates the week one of my books is coming out. Follow me on either site or both to get notified.
